Moved from True Bugs.

Hi , I did take a photo of some tiny hatchlings just like these little guys last year and was unable to track them and find out what they grew in to . I agree , that this would be a good contribution to the " guide " if you did take photos as they mature . I have the same bushes in my front yard where there are many Leaf footed conifer bugs. All of the babies of the Leaf footed Conifer bug did not have green abdomens . I found a brown slim 1 1/2 inch long egg casing on my wall outside where I found similar nymphs who had just hatched and had always wondered what kind of bug they were . They marched away like little cows following the leader as they were scared of me and my camera ... never to be seen again . Did you find these nymphs on the bush , or somewhere else ???? , and what made you think they were the conifer bug nymph ?? I would love to know what they turn into ... be brave , these bugs will not hurt you although , I agree they have a scary " buzzing " sound when they fly . We're guessing they are hardly even a quarter inch. Any chance you can keep you eye on them and photograph them every couple of days so we can see how they change as they mature??
