Polyphemus Moth - Antheraea polyphemus
The Wilds Camp, North Carolina, USA
I meant to post this picture a long time ago,(and sorry if the picture is a little fuzzy... this picture was taken in a hurry)... but besides that, this is a healthy specimen I found in the early morning before leaving the camp. Also,The reason why I was holding this bug in the picture is that I found it asleep on the sidewalk and was determined not to have anybody squash or poke at the fellow. The bug was safely taken to a nearby shrub.
