Ground beetle? - Lebia vittata

Ground beetle? - Lebia vittata
Durham, Durham County, North Carolina, USA
September 7, 2008
Size: 5 mm long
This beetle hid among bunches of small white flowers on a bush near a power line cut.

Probably
Lebia vittata. I have found it in Indiana.

Thank you
It looks like a good fit!

Pretty.
Lovely species of "foliage ground beetle" in the genus Lebia.

Thank you
Such a strange type of ground beetle: it never goes on the ground!
