Remarks
A likely undescribed species similar in maculation to Anderida peorinella, from which the one barcoded specimen (BOLD:AAH5653) diverges in sequence by 3%. Distinguished by location (Huachuca Mts., AZ vs. central and southwest TX), much longer labial palpi, and possibly typically stronger rose coloration in streak bordering forewing cell.
The species also appear to differ in flight period. Neunzig (1997) notes of peorinella, "April and May appear to be the months the adults are in flight." The three records of the species on BugGuide are from March, April, and July. The five records of the Huachuca species are from May, September (x2), October, and November.
