Austin Wasp and Eggs

Austin Wasp and Eggs
Austin, Travis County, Texas, USA
April 26, 2023
Size: 2 Milimeters
Tiny wasp. Found on green eggs, also about 2 millimeters in diameter. Found 5 feet high on the side of a tree trunk. The Nest was nestled in amongst Rosette Lichen (Physcia millegrana). Seen at 5:30pm.

The wasp is a member of EITHER ...
... the family Scelionidae or Encyrtidae - two families that look a lot alike and include species that are parasitoids of the eggs of Hemiptera and Lepidoptera. Regrettably, the image is not sufficient for me to tell the difference, so I'll probably end up frassing it.

Possible egg ID
Thank you for your comment! I have done some more observations on this tree and I have seen Rough Stink Bugs as well. From my research, these eggs may also look like the eggs of Brochymena.

Very good
Since I can't put a better ID on the 'toids, I'll move the image to the Pentatomidae, where perhaps someone more familiar with that group might be able to confirm the ID of the eggs.
