The flowers its sitting on are Poison Hemlock flowers... To give you an idea of the size of the insect.

Looks very much like it probably is that one. I've seen them here and there up here but could never identify them. And then this one just crawled into my picture frame and took over the focus right before I snapped the pic..I'd been focused on individual flowers when it showed up *L*

Plant bug.
Plant bug in the family Miridae. Can't ID beyond that myself. Maybe someone else can. Moving to family page for now in hopes we can still recruit a mirid expert....
