Explanation of Names
Nomenia Pearsall, 1905, revised status, was treated as a synonym of Venusia in the the Hodges 1983 Checklist and later recognized as valid in Xue & Scoble (2002).
Identification
Separated from other species in the genus Venusia by male antennae which are unipectinate, not bipectinate or simple.
