Mite ID - Anystis

Mite ID - Anystis
Norfolk, Virginia, USA
September 9, 2008
Size: ~1.5mm (body)
Foraging on bamboo leaf.

This SUPER TINY 8-legged bites me... I notice right away.
Same bug?
I notice the bites immediately.
I thought at first a red velvet mite, but people CLAIM those don't bite. :-/
Ruled out chiggers, because the bite is immediately noticeable and no characteristic later-on welts.
