Diane, I viewed two of your videos on psocoptera last night. Incredible videos. May I ask how you breed psocoptera? Of course I gave them both a 👍🏻. Thank you for the recommendation. Take care.

To make a long story short ...
First, I collect several females of the species in question. Most will have already mated. I place them in paper lined petri dishes and provide the same sort of material on which they were found (twigs, leaf litter, or leaves with a patina of mold). Eggs should appear in a few days. Once the eggs hatch, I wait until the nymphs have reached the 5th to 6th instar and then I place them in large shell vials with something to feed on. You must provide high humidity ... A large container with some moist paper towels. Check the isolated nymphs until the emerge as adults. Many female psocids are not attractive to males until several days later.

I have submitted a book proposal for my book to be titled "Adventures in a Minor Order" and am eagerly waiting for a go ahead from the acquisition editor. I have a chapter on collecting and rearing psocids.
