Small blue wasp with clear wings - Auplopus

Small blue wasp with clear wings - Auplopus
Elkton, Douglas County, Oregon, USA
July 15, 2008
Size: approx. 1/2 inch
ID help, please.

Auplopus sp.
The metallic blue Auplopus species are quite variable, so it is very difficult to assign a species to this. I'd lean toward A. architectus metallica, though, as that seemed to be the most common species in Oregon when I lived there.
