If I’ve done this correctly, this weevil keys out to Ormiscus in both Valentine keys I tried (1)(2). I don’t know of any keys to this genus and the guide’s genus page says there are “about 70 described species, and maybe 100 more undescribed”, so I don’t know if this ID can be taken any further. However, Valentine mentions that the “solidly fused antennal club” is an “easily recognizable” feature of O. saltator and O. solidus (2). Valentine describes O. solidus as a “brown, long haired form” that may or may not be “another variation of saltator”. Since this individual doesn’t have long brown hair, I assume this is either O. saltator or something close to it.

TIA

NB: “[Ormiscus species] can be distinguished from other Nearctic anthribids… by their strongly curving pronotal carina which is closer to the base at the center than at the sides” (1)
