Thanks, Michael. In the weeks after I photographed this specimen, I photographed a number of other specimens of the same species, which I subsequently identified as T. carolina (using Peckarsky's "Freshwater Macroinvertebrates of NE North America"). The thing is, in the borrow-pit/sump hole where I collected this specimen and the others of the same species that I collected and subsequently photographed, I saw a lot of adult Blue Dashers flying around, although I never saw any Carolina Saddlebags. So always in the back of my mind a little doubt lingered about the ID.
