Question????
I recently took a picture of a Banded Argiope and its egg sac in South Florida, near Everglades National Park. The egg sac looks almost identical to this one and I'm curious about the coloration. Is the green on it (also on mine) a moss of fungi that grows on them, or does the spider "color" the silk for camouflage?

hi
I don't know. I just assumed it was from the spider.
Good question.
