Seems to be right! Palpada is normally a bit more colorful on the thorax and the proportions in total are a bit different!

Gerard- Thanks! The weather must be pretty cold there now. Here in San Antonio, in the low 80s during the afternoon.

Probably Eristalis, but possibly Palpada. Wish I could be more definitive.
