Desmia maculalis - male

Desmia maculalis - Male
Canyon Creek, Clark County, Washington, USA
June 6, 2023
Size: Forewing length 11mm
I believe this is Desmia maculalis based on the striped ventral abdomen. This was found at least 10 miles from any human habitation, so my guess is that it’s larval host must have been one of the Oenothera (evening primrose) since none of the other known hosts are found anywhere near there.
