slug caterpillar moth? - Hypsopygia olinalis

slug caterpillar moth? - Hypsopygia olinalis
Gwinnett County, Georgia, USA
September 16, 2008
Size: dime size
I found this moth early in the morning hanging out by the porch light.

Moved
Moved from Hypsopygia.

Moved
Moved from Dolichomia.

Looks like
Dolichomia olinalis (Dolichomia olinalis - Hodges#5533) but also compare to Hypsopygia costalis (Clover Hayworm - Hodges#5524) to be sure.

I would say that yours has less gold fringe and more triangular markings making it Dolichomia olinalis.
Nice Picture!!!
