Male mosquito


The males have feathery things coming out the front of the head.

Also, it looks like its front legs are down and its back legs are up - midges tend to be the opposite. While I don't think that is conclusive it is a pretty good quick check.

It is a male mosquito. Perhaps Culex tarsalis, although I cannot be sure.
