unknown moth - Gloveria medusa - Female
Malibu, Los Angeles County, California, USA
September 8, 2008
Size: 9cm x 3cm
This moth flew to my window Sept. 8 in the evening, and laid about 30 eggs in my specimen jar. When will the eggs hatch? What food will the caterpillars require?

Gloveria
Gloveria medusa, female.

Looks like genus Gloveria
May be oak feeders, but if you search Gloveria online you may get better info.

Gloveria medusa
The larva and ova of Gloveria medusa are mostly commonly found on Eriogonum fasiculatum or Flat-Topped buckwheat in the wild. However, it can also be reared on Rhus species in Southern California.
