Possible Araneus spider - Araneus diadematus

Possible Araneus spider - Araneus diadematus
Toronto, Sunnybrook Park, Ontario, Canada
September 18, 2008
Size: over 1 cm
This spider had its web at the corner of glass and brick on the outside of a building.
It has similarities to Araneus marmoreus but is not a perfect fit.

We're thinking more likely diadematus
see and but we'll look a little deeper.

Araneus spider ID request
Many thanks for your suggestion. I had eliminated diadematus. They are very common here at this time of the year. All of the individuals I see are brown with their webs between vegetation.

diadematus
I agree this seems the best fit.
