Summer Fishfly - Chauliodes pectinicornis

Attracted to porch light. Found it on the front doorstep. It was huge. It took off after I took the photo. Then I ran inside. I have never seen anything like it before. Is it an Antlion? Looks similar to the ones in the guide but not exact.

In the family Corydalidae
This is in the family Cordydalidae, in the order Neuroptera. Common name for this family is Dobsonflies and Fishflies. They're neat insects, and you're right, they are huge.

Maybe someone else can narrow the ID down further for you.

They used to be considered Neuroptera, but some infernal re-organizer has declared them now in Megaloptera. They are rather mega ...
