Emerged imago - Centronopus calcaratus

Size: 15 mm
Freshly emerged from pupa, this tenebrionid darkened to tan, brown, then black over the next days and weeks. It still has pupal skin attached by a thread. It was "born" missing its left antenna and left middle leg.
