from Florida to Michigan, and westward to Iowa
Food
They mine the leaves of composites, mostly in tribe Senecioneae. Host plants include Arnoglossum muehlenbergii, Erechtites hieracifolia, Prenanthes alba, Packera aurea, Packera glabella, Senecio aureus and others.
