Crawling across gravel lane toward a seasonal pond. Sagebrush steppe with occasional Aspen and ponderosa.

Ventral
It did flip but I didn’t get a photo. This is the first I’d seen and wasn’t sure what views would be necessary to determine species.

 
it's ok... in this genus, ventral pattern usually critcal for id
one can never know what it takes to get an id until you try
but taking a good dorsal like you did here does the trick in most cases

any chance to see venter?
