Leaf Beetle - Diachus -
Diachus
Arcadia, Los Angeles County, California, USA
September 20, 2008
Size: 3-5mm
The data doesn't show the Leaf Beetle - Brachypnoea puncticollis - in California - but they look very similar. What do you think this is?

Diachus
from the photo it looks more like Diachus (Cryptocephalinae) but that one is much smaller (3mm). I think you misjudged the size.

You look to be correct
Hi Rob,
I checked out some photos of a Diachus and it looks spot on. I did seem to misjudge the size.
