Stenololophus fuliginosus (male)
based on my microscopic examination of this specimen including genitalia dissection which revealed the characteristic tiny apical hook. Note the uniformly darkened femora and darkened apical ends of tibiae. Thanks Tom. (This edit dated 12/13/2009)

looks a bit like S y n u c h u s...
...and a lot like Stenolophus fuscatus :-]

 
It does look like Stenolophus fuscatus
I'll wait for Peter to have a look at the specimen, in case there's something that looks similar.

 
Correction:
This is now confirmed to be Stenolophus fuliginosus, not the possibilities S. plebejus or S. fuscatus that I had considered initially. Those two have uniformly pale appendages.
