Size: over 1 inch
I was digging in the rose bush garden and I kept unearthing these things. Does anyone know what these are? I am thinking something bad for the roses. ;-0

Killing Japanese Beetle grubs
The traps are only good for the adults, which are gone by now. To kill the grubs in the soil (safely) you might look into getting some BT powder at a garden shop. BT powder is from a natural soil bacterium called Bacillus thuringiensis, the bacteria grows in the grubs and kills them without poisons. The only "good" Japanese beetle or grub is a DEAD one!

Japanese Beetle Grub I think - the beetles love rose bushes. You might want to buy a few traps and place on the perimeter of the garden.

Also, if you fish or know somebody who does nearby - they are bait!

After looking around this site some - could be Junebug grub.

That's what I was thinking
I was thinking Japanese Beetle, then I came across some May/June Bug grub pics and it looks closer to that. But whichever... they are bad news for my roses. LOL Good idea about using them for bait!
