Resembles Scarites.
Image does not show the very elongated mandibles, very elongated pronotum, and smooth non-ridged elytra expected for Promecognathus. Also, TX is significantly outside the expected range. Please submit (approx) body lengths for all posted images to help increase chance of accurate identification. Thanks.

Why not just move to likely genus "Scarites"
rather than moving image to your more general choice of "Carabidae"? ... or am I missing something?
