It never fails to amaze me just how intense the color on these is. It's always nice to see the wings shown.

I compared markings on the specimen in the two shots, and it's clear that they are of the same specimen, so I'm going to go ahead and link them together. It's a female, and it looks like she was in the middle of "doing her business".

A suggestion: If you crop the pictures down closer to just the insect itself, it will show to better advantage on the BugGuide pages.
