Reminds us of the eggs
of Tachinid flies??

if i knew that i would have removed them before releasing it... must be a very painful death being eaten from the inside out

 
It was probably already too late
Tachinid larvae bore directly into the caterpillar from the eggs, so when you see apparently unhatched eggs like this, the larvae may already be inside.
