On underside of Catalpa leaf near caterpillar by carport, about size of caterpillar's tail, about 5 PM. More transparent than other whitefly pictures I can find on internet. Taken with Sony Cybershot 3.3 MP digital camera.

Moved from Otiocerus abbotii.

Maybe one of the
Fulgoroidea (Planthoppers) in Derbidae ???

Otiocerus abbotii
Yes, a rare Derbid. Pity the image is so poor.

Otiocerus abbotii
I apologize for poor image but it was best I had and the ID has been intriguing me for some time. Thanks so much for the ID! Should I go ahead & delete the series or keep it until a better picture of the species comes along?

Anotia bonnetii
Having checked this photo against a clear photo of Anotia bonnetii, I realize my mistake. For example, the antenna is much to large and clear to belong to an Otiocerus.

So, regretfully, we will have to frass this photo and remove the species page to O. abbotii.

Ooops
I moved one in as a datapoint, would you rather I frass it?

Let's save them
We'll make the page.

Yes, maybe even
genus Anotia here
