Eumeninae 01 - Eumenes crucifera - female

Eumeninae 01 - Eumenes crucifera - Female
Canyon Park, Bothell, Snohomish County, Washington, USA
September 27, 2008
I finally managed to capture a single image of this wasp before it flew out of camera range. Found nectaring??? on mint in the yard.

Eumenes? or something else?

Moved

Eumenes female.
Looks like she has actually captured a caterpillar....This is probably Eumenes crucifera, a common species in the Pacific Northwest.
