Moved
Moved from ID Request.

OK
They look to be the correct shape for the genus, but I have a few questions:
1) - Did you film the moth that produced these eggs? If so, the images should be linked.
2) - If you know the ID, then why would you place these into ID Request? We currently have zero images of the eggs in that species. So, we have nothing to compare them with, other than some related species. (also none on MPG, iNat & BOLD)
3) - How was the adult identified?
4) - Are you going to try to rear these cats?

Heiligbrodt’s Mesquite moth ova
The ova are from the mated pair I photographed. The captive female oviposited them in a rearing cage I made and then she was released to oviposit the rest in the wild.
I am currently raising the caterpillars.

I was unaware about linking images. I will research how to and post pictures of the instars too.

OK
Please use the "add image" function to load those shots of the adults.
You can do the same thing for the cats. Good Luck!

Heiligbrodt’s Mesquite moth ova
I think I did it right. Let me know if it worked. Thank you!
I submitted them to iNat too.

Do need to submit to MPG too?

What is BOLD?

Yes
That looks good, but we still want to see the adult mommy!
I will send a message to Steve Nanz for you. (MPG) I'm sure that they will like this addition.

BOLD is the Barcode of Life Data Systems. (DNA testers) see here
A link is usually found on our info pages, near the bottom, in the Internet References section.

Thank you. Do I need to upload images to BOLD? Site looks quite technical…DNA testers is out of my league. I didn’t see a help section or uploading image section.

Although I raised a few uncommon butterflies and some moths years ago I’m just starting to get back into it. I recently retired and have more time to putter around the ranch and look for them and hopefully photodoc their life cycle.

Nope
BOLD is a website for specimen identifications only. We use it mostly as a reference to check our IDs.
If you collect specimens, you could open an account with them to test your specimens. (any-all life forms or samples, including plants)

BOLD
Thank you. I’ll just continue to use BG and iNat. If anyone wants specimens collected of what I post for their research they can ask. I usually get the same frequent flyers but others are far and few between.
