Generally covered in "metallic green and pink or coppery scales ... abdomen usually green or blue".(Richman, 2008)
Range
British Columbia, most of the U.S. and Mexico but absent from the Dakotas and the northeast.(1)
Habitat
Desert brush, also alfalfa and cotton, upland prairie, meadow (Richman, 2008).
Season
Often abundant in summer (Richman, 2008).
