Procloeon rubropictum
Hi Rob-

I believe this female imago to be Procloeon rubropictum. However, unless listed body length of ~8 mm also includes the length of its tails, it must be another species of Procloeon. Please advise.

Thanks. Tails not included.
Thanks. Tails not included. Some are only ~3mm then?

Sorry, somehow missed seeing your question until just now!
Yes, the body length for winged lifestages of Procloeon rubropictum would be ~3 mm. The only Illinois resident Procloeon species (of which I am aware) that would have a body length that long is Procloeon quaesitum.
