Syngrapaha Looper sp, 4:06pm - Trichoplusia ni

Syngrapaha Looper sp, 4:06pm - Trichoplusia ni
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
September 29, 2008
I think its a Syngrapha, though I think it unfortunately falls between abtrusa and the other identical species.

I can easily see why it is called a Looper, when disturbed they fly around in perfect loops/circles sometimes.
