Size: ~ 9 mm
found around recently bulldozed mesquite, oak, hackberry, osage orange
don’t see many Acmaeodera in Sept apart from macra, so i’ll leave it to those more knowledgeable

yep that was my conclusion too…
due to those pronotal maculations & fairly heavy setae but several mon beyond my latest recorded date. Another idea I had was the clear cutting they’re doing across the street on oaks, mixed hardwoods dislodged a specimen that died pre-emergence as I found it dead and desiccated on the ground. thx for the input

Kinda odd to be out this late, but pronotum and maculations are right. Perhaps delayed emergence due to lack of rain?
