It looks like ...
a male Variable Dancer to me. The purple color combined with the forked shoulder stripe are diagnostic. Nice photo!

Thanks Michelle, The ones I photograph in Florida have such a darker wing and overall almost black coloration

You're welcome Jim. I'm not too proficient at anything but Northeastern Odes but I thought that forked stripe was a give away. Maybe someone with more knowledge of Florida Odes will chime in.
