Walking stick

Walking stick
Flagstaff, Coconino County, Arizona, USA
November 5, 2023
Size: 9 inches
I am sure that this is a walking stick but couldn’t find more specific information. I’m guessing that it is a female but would like to learn more from an expert.

Moved
Presumably a female Diapheromera, but females in this genus are difficult to distinguish without an associated male. The odd shape is probably the result of a mismolt

Moved from Walkingsticks.

Western short-horned walkingstick
I local biologist told me it is Parabacillus hesperus - the Western Short-horned Walkingstick.

Moved
Moved from Arthropods.

Walking stick
I would like to know the Latin name of the walking stick whose photo I posted and any other info that you are willing to share.

Moved for expert review
I moved the photo so the folks that know more about phasmids will be more likely to see it and to give you an ID. Sometimes things get missed in the shuffle of the higher level taxa tabs, so this can make it easier.

Thank you.
