after lots of repeat staring at this girl,
I'm pretty fairly convinced that she is
M. borealis
, a little on the dull side in color. Alternate option would be a dark
M. femurrubrum
.

Melanoplus species
It's a female, and I can't say for certain which species right now. I will come back to it if I come up with something more definite.
