Hackberry Emperor? - Asterocampa celtis

Hackberry Emperor? - Asterocampa celtis
Marion County, Illinois, USA
August 23, 2008
I don't recall whether this cat was actually on a hackberry leaf, but in the area where I found it, two out of every three trees are hackberry, and I don't get far along the path before Asterocampa celtis adults start landing on me!

Yes
that's what it is.
