Orange moth - Pyromorpha dyari

Orange moth - Pyromorpha dyari
Madera Canyon, Arizona, USA

Some kind of lichen moth?

Moved
Moved from Neofelderia. This does seem like a better match for T. dyari, but it looks like the hindwing would be very useful to confirm this.

4632 Tetraclonia (Pyromorpha) dyari?
Not sure if you saw my comment below.

Tetraclonia dyaria?
See Image here. I have an email in to MPG on this one.

Not an ID but maybe

Hmm...
Well, that seems to be as good a match as some of the Lycomorpha species. Hard to know how much variation in pattern is acceptable. I imagine it would be easy for a lepidopterist to tell us at least whether this belongs to Lithosiinae or Zygaenidae, but I'm at a loss.

Hmmm

Well...
That's certainly the best match I've seen, and it does occur in SE Arizona... although the wings on mine seem a bit broader. Wish I'd peeked at the underwings.
Too bad there don't seem to be any images of L. desertus or L. regulus out there.
Thanks for looking!
