Small Robber Fly - Eudioctria albius - female

Small Robber Fly - Eudioctria albius - Female
Gill, Massachusetts, USA
July 3, 2005
Size: 7mm

Moved
Moved from Eudioctria.

I believe this is the all-black
female of Eudioctria albius, still with the shiny bald patch on the side of the thorax.

Robber
Probably a Eudioctria species. Don't remember how many are in Mass.
