Peltophorus polymitus

Peltophorus polymitus
Peloncillo Mnts, Hidalgo County, New Mexico, USA
October 1, 2008
Size: 9 mm
These are remarkably big Conoderine weevils, found on agaves. I tried to photo one down in the thorny leaves and then got it to climb on my finger after I lost a little blood to the agave.
