The photo was taken near Paisley, FL and the Ocala Forest

Certainly, but I think this is the late flying M. bomboides.

This is actually in the genus
This is actually in the genus Mallophora, probably M. orcina.

Robber Fly -
one of the bee mimics! Herschel Raney or another expert may be able to tell you the species. Might be in Laphria, I suppose...
