Location is 9 mi. south of Colfax, on Pine Lake Dr., 666 m elevation (2,185 ft).
GPS= 39.0649, -120.9439. Habitat is the top of a conifer populated ridge with private residences widely spaced.

Captured in a Vertical Flight Intercept Trap (V-FIT) left from April 21 to May 7, 16 nights & days.

- Tarsal segments 3 & 4 bilobed (Cantharidae only 4th is bilobed).
- Pectinate antennae (Matheteinae).
- Elytra black or black with pale margins (Genglymocladus).

I see no keys for the 2 species, but American Beetles (1) states that G. luteicollis is known from the Sierra Nevada Mts., whereas the other species (G. discoidea) is a coastal species.
