Size: same as dorsatus
This is a newly described species of Tibicen. Jeff Cole discovered this species and his paper has been accepted and published. The distinction between it and T. dorsatus include the sub-costa wing vein being the same color as the costa in T. tremulus rather than darker as in T. dorsatus. Notice also that the tymbal covers are black in this species instead of brown in T. dorsatus. I'll post the collection data soon.

The original distinction between the two is their differing calls, which I'll leave Jeff to explain when I make an info page for this. Just thought I'd stick it here for a day or two. Not often you get to see a holotype, or a brand new species.

Go Jeff!

Imaging was done using a 100mm 1:1 Cannon Macro lens for the full shot, and the MPE-65mm macro for the genitalia and clasper shots. Used Helicon Focus for the combining. Each was about 20 shots combined. Both lenses were augmented with a ring-flash.
