Size: 13 mm
Found on Black Elderberry (Sambucus canadensis) leaves. I put this beetle on BugGuide about 10 years ago, but ultimately deleted the post because the photo was terrible and the specimen was covered in dust (elderberry pollen?). Steven Lingafelter had suggested a pale specimen of Oberea praelonga. Finally got around to cleaning it off and taking a better picture. Kind of seems intermediate between praelonga and pallida? Oberea are really hard to ID I think. Any comments/suggestions greatly appreciated.
