Best guess right now is a female Ghelna canadensis.

Yes, and possibly something in Phidippus. Looks similar to the undescribed Phidippus clarus variation I just posted, but would need to see more detail here.

Did you write those spider/mailbox articles several years ago??

I don't see any dorsal hair tufts that would indicate this is a Phidippus.
