Priophorus pruni??
...or something close? I know it can't be the same species as Tom's image here because the food plant is wrong but I wondered if it could be in the same genus so I Googled the genus and the food plant, Prunus serotina.

See info and description here.

Good research . . .
The larva is very similar to the Priophorus that feeds on Rubus (P. brullei). It is probably a Priophorus since there are very few "hairy" sawfly larvae. Yes, there is a Priophorus that feeds on Prunus, currently called Priophorus compressicornis (Fabricius). Priophorus pruni Rohwer and P. pallipes Lepeleter (also used for this species) are synonyms of P. compressicornis. Very likely, this is P. compressicornis, but I have not seen larvae and therefore don't know how to separate it from other species of Priophorus. You could call it Priphorus compressicornis (?), with the identity solely based on the host plant.

Tenthredinidae
Cannot identify further.

Strange
sort of looks like Euthyatira pudens (Dogwood Thyatirid Moth - Hodges#6240), wonder if there is some mimicry.
