The only reason I'm posting these is due to the somewhat unusual coloring (from the ones I've seen). I don't know if it's a normal variation or something relatively rare.

Ichneumon yes, male...?
Not all female ichneumons have ovipositors, so I hesitate to assign a gender to this one. Nice close-ups, so don't frass. I might be able to eventually assign this to at least a subfamily.
